Foundation Quarterly named Best Print Newsletter
November 1st, 2007
Legacies, the quarterly publication of the United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana, was named Best Quarterly Print Newsletter at the Practical Planned Giving Conference in Chicago this September.
The award is given annually by Crescendo Interactive, Inc., a planned giving software and internet marketing company headquartered in Camarillo, Ca. The newsletter was chosen from among Crescendo's 6500 clients across the nation, based on overall design, message and creativity.
Kelly Johannessen, Foundation communications director and editor of the newsletter, attended the conference to receive the award on behalf of the Foundation.
Legacies' editorial content focuses on tax-smart charitable estate planning and gives up-to-date financial information and Foundation news. It is available at no cost to any interested United Methodist statewide, especially those in the 50+ age group.
The Foundation also distributes two free, weekly, electronic newsletters: GiftLegacy, written for individuals interested in charitable financial planning issues, and Gift Law, written for tax and financial professionals with up-to-date tax law information. Both are available at no charge by signing up online at www.umfgiving.org.
