
Mark McMurry

Sulphur native Mark McMurry was elected Chairman of the Board of the Trustees of the United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana, and the Reverend Jan Holloway of Lafayette was elected Vice-Chairman at the Foundation's Annual Meeting in May. The election was ratified at the United Methodist Annual Conference in June. Their two-year terms began immediately upon ratification.
McMurry succeeds Frank McArthur of Baton Rouge as Chair of the Board. He is the parish administrator for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the governing authority of Calcasieu Parish. McMurry is also a member and past chair of the Administrative Council of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church in Sulphur and has held numerous leadership positions in his church and community. He is married to the former Ann Murchison and they have five children.
Holloway is senior pastor of First United Methodist Church of Lafayette. Prior to attending seminary, she was an attorney in Alexandria. Located in Baton Rouge, the United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana was founded in 1975 and serves United Methodist churches, institutions and individuals within the Louisiana Annual Conference, providing financial management, consultation and education, loans and grants. It is one of the largest United Methodist Foundations, with over $126 million in assets.
