Rob Fairly
President

Rob is a lifelong Methodist and an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, where he serves as Stewardship Chairman. He is also on the Administrative Board, Finance Committee and Permanent Endowment Committee. Rob has served the church throughout the conference, with the Council of Finance and Administration, Conference Ministry Team, the LSU Wesley Foundation, Hope Ministries and Volunteers in Mission.

Rob earned his BBA from Texas Tech University and his MBA from Mississippi College. His career spanned investment banking and real estate prior to joining the Foundation in 1998. His first book, co-written with Michael Reeves and Sandy Coon, Creative Giving - Understanding Planned Giving and Endowments in Church, was released by the Board of Discipleship in Nashville as a denominational resource.

Rob serves as Treasurer of the National Association of United Methodist Foundations, is a member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and was the founding president of the Planned Giving Council of Greater Baton Rouge, a collaboration of nonprofit organizations, professional advisors and other community leaders established to promote public interest in charitable giving. He and his wife of 32 years, Pam, have two daughters and one son.
