Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Gay's is the friendly voice you hear when you call the Foundation office. She joined the Foundation in April of 1999 and serves as the Foundation receptionist, handles many of the Foundation's daily functions and keeps the office running smoothly. Gay serves as Administrative Assistant to Development Officer Kip Shuford and Senior Clergy Advisor Kenneth Reed. Prior to joining the Foundation staff, Gay was the school secretary at a small private school, and office manager of Blackwater United Methodist Church.

Born and raised in the Roman Catholic faith, Gay joined the United Methodist church when she married her husband, Roger, in 1972. She is currently a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church, where she sings in the choir and serves as the church music librarian. She is also Chair of the Worship Committee and has participated in Disciple I and II Bible study classes.

Gay has many hobbies, which include crocheting, calligraphy, reading, music and photography. She has three grown sons, Ryan, Daron and Ivan, and four grandchildren.
