Ken Reed Senior Clergy AdvisorDr. Kenneth Reed serves the Foundation as spiritual and professional counsel for the President and Controller and serves as Field Staff for the five southern districts of the Conference.
Ken is a retired United Methodist minister and has served 14 United Methodist Churches in Texas and Louisiana, since 1950. He served as Foundation President from 1990 to 1998, assuming advisor status in 1998. Under Ken's presidency, the Foundation grew in assets from $7 million in 1990 to $85 million in 1998.
He earned a B.S. in History in 1952 and a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 1955. In 1982, Ken received a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University.
Ken is a 30-year veteran of the Army Reserve, now in Retired Reserve, and holds the rank of full Colonel. He has been decorated numerous times, the most recent being Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
Ken and his wife Bobbie have two grown children and three grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family and traveling. Ken is interested in all sports and is an avid golfer.
