Foundation Offers Webinars

The Foundation has a history of offering informative programs where faith and money come together, and with the current COVID-19 environment, we’ve switched to an online format to conform to safety guidelines.

We’ve recently offered a survey report on trends among our churches and how to handle annual campaigns in the time of COVID-19.

Of special interest to our Legacies readers is the webinar held on August 20, “Assisting Your Aging Parents with their Financial Affairs,” presented by estate planning and elder care attorney Ronda Gabb of Covington, La.

The presentation was targeted to those who have aging parents in need of assistance, but the information and advice applied equally to anyone.

She emphasized the need for a will and discussed what happens when you die without one. Everyone has an estate, no matter the size, and a will allows you to control what happens to your assets and makes sorting through your affairs easier on your survivors.

All webinar recordings are available on our website at www.umf.org.
