5 Keys to Unlock Church Giving: Foundation Offers Two Free Workshops

The Foundation is hosting two one-day workshops for clergy and lay leaders to learn new strategies to deal with the ever-changing landscape of church stewardship.

The workshops will be held: 1) Saturday, August 26 at the LSU Lod Cook Alumni Center in Baton Rouge and 2) Thursday, August 31 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Shreveport. Each event is 10:00 am until 2:00 pm with lunch included. There is no registration fee, but registration is required.

The presenters are Joe Park and Richard Rogers from Horizons Stewardship, generosity consultants who will help church leaders develop year-round annual and planned giving plans. Participants will walk away with five key giving strategies to put into practice. Foundation President Chris Spencer will discuss planned giving strategies.

Joe Park, CEO and Principal, Horizons Stewardship

Richard Rogers, Sr. VP, Horizons Stewardship

Chris Spencer, President, United Methodist Foundation of LA

All United Methodists clergy and lay leaders within the Louisiana Annual Conference are invited to attend. The workshop will offer a concise, to-the-point interactive presentation, including time for peer interaction and discussion, working to build ministry efforts and lay a foundation to grow disciples of Jesus Christ.
